천안에서 축구부 화재사고가 있었다. 죽게 된 아이들도 있고 살아남았어도 화상과 가스중독으로 인해 부상을 입게 된 아이들도 있다. 민이 역시 친구, 현석이를 보내고 생존자의 자책감과 상실감으로 마음이 닫혀지고 있다. 그의 엄마는 민이가 신체상으로 무사해서 처음엔 정신적인 고통을 알지 못하지만 점점 민이의 이상행동을 보고, 결국엔 민이의 고백으로 아들의 상처를 알게 된다. (Fire was set in the dormitory for a soccer team in a small city of Korea. Some of members died while others got injured due to the fire and the gas. Min has felt guilty about being alive alone and suffered from death of his friends including Hyun-suk. His mom didnt catch his mental suffering at first as Min was alright at a physical level. However, she experiences abnormal behaviors of her son and finally gets to know of his great pain through his confession.)연출의도. 그냥, 축구화가 전부였던 아이들이었다. 사별의 아픔을 겪은 그들은 남다른 사춘기를 보낼 것이다. 그리고 모든 사람들마다 그 근원에는 같은 슬픔과 마음이 있음을 알고 있다. 영화를 보고 잠시라도 그 상처들을 어루만져주었음 하는 바램이다. 우리들에게는 너무 빠른 시간이 불에 데인 그들에게는 더디기만 할 것이다. 기다려주고 싶은 마음이었다. (For those children, soccer shoes were the only thing they had. Children who experienced the sadness of bereavements will go through somewhat different adolescence than others. And I think everyone has the same kind of sadness and heart at the origin. I wish my film could heal the sorrow and pain despite just for a short moment of viewing the film. The time passes us by very quickly while the time for the hurt people really drags.
