도연은 친구 둘과 밤등산을 갔다가 길을 잃고 링반데룽에 걸린다. ('링반데룽'은 안개, 폭우, 폭설, 피로 등으로 산에서 방향 감각을 잃고 같은 지역을 맴도는 등산 조난 용어) 급기야 맨 앞에 걸어가던 도연이가 실족하는 바람에 셋은 벼랑으로 굴러 떨어진다. 이틀만에 혼수 상태에서 깨어난 도연은 친구 둘과 텐트에서 지내게 되는데... 이상하게도 친구들이 맨날 똑같은 말과 똑같은 행동만 한다. 처음엔 자기를 놀리느라 그런 줄 알고 도연은 화를 내지만... (Do-yeon goes night-climbing with her two friends and they get lost. She's wandering around in circles only to repeat the same routes. So, she is in ‘Ringwanderung’. While walking ahead, Do-yeon makes a wrong move at a very steep cliff and three of them fall over. Waking up two days later, she finds herself staying in a tent with her two other friends. But she feels very strange about them, as they're repeating the same thing everyday... Ringwanderung climbing term indicating getting lost in the mountains and going around in the same area over and over because of the loss of sense of bearings caused by fog, rainstorm, heavy snow or fatigue.)연출의도. 매일 똑같은 시간에 똑같은 잠자리에서 일어나, 똑같은 옷만 입고, 똑같은 음식을 먹으며, 똑같은 사람과 똑같은 대화만 나누며 산다면 어떨까? 그렇게 날마다 반복 생활을 한다면 권태를 너머 공포감 마저 들것이다. 링반데룽에 걸린 주인공은 일상에서 일탈을 꿈꾸는, 바로 우리 자신을 상징한다.
