결혼에 한번 실패한 상진은 연변 조선족 여자인 정미를 아내로 맞이한다. 그러나 보수적인 시아버지는 어머니의 3년상이 채 끝나지 않아 결혼식조차 올리지 못하게 하고 둘을 살게 하신다. 그게 미안한 상진은 그런 아내를 위해 가족사진 찍을 계획을 세운다. 몇 달 후 연변에 홀로 사시는 장모님을 찾아뵙게 되는 상진과 정미. 정미는 오랜만에 오게된 자신의 집에서 상진의 가족들과 합성된 정미의 아버지와 어머니의 모습을 발견하고 눈물을 흘린다.
